This was the blade break down in winter 2008, lead ingto investigations. Extreme gusts, control system not working perfect in such circumstances as well as probably a weak point. 16 Nordex N80 turbines, each blade 8 tons.

 

The turbine No. 4 was later replaced by the newcomer Siemens Direct Drive (3 MW). All supported by norwegian government (Enova), insurance as well as  additional support from the company.
